Every guide on this site went past me before it went up. My name is Nadia Rowan and I edit TutsTake.
What that means in practice: I follow the steps against either the app or the maker’s documentation, and the page records which of the two in a field called verified_against, with the date beside it. You can judge any page here without taking my word for it.
What I will not do
- Move a date to make an old page look current. When a menu gets renamed the text gets rewritten, and only then does the date change.
- Put a number on a page from a forum thread. If the company has not published it, the page says the number is unconfirmed.
- Write up an app I have no way to open and no documentation for. A guide I cannot check does not get published.
